You are going to join support groups. You are going to read forums at 2am. You are going to see someone swear that magnesium changed their life or that going gluten free fixed their POTS or that some specific compression brand is the only one worth buying.

And you are going to try it. Because you are desperate and you are tired and you just want something to work.

Sometimes it will help. Sometimes it will do absolutely nothing. Sometimes it will make things worse.

That is not because you did it wrong. That is because every single body with EDS or POTS or MCAS is different. We share diagnoses but we do not share the same experience.

What I have learned is this. Treat everything like an experiment. Try one thing at a time. Give it enough time to actually know if it is working. And when it does not work, that is data. That is useful. That is not failure.

The trial and error is the process. There is no shortcut around it.

I still have bad experiments. I still try things that do not work. I am years into this and I am still figuring it out.

That is just how it goes.
